TOMY MONSTER COLLECTION
These are some of the first Pokémon figures that ever came out. The original Japanese releases came out in 1997. The ones I have here are American releases, which my parents bought for me in stores when I first got into Pokémon. Value: $3+ each (opened) / $20+ each (sealed) © Tomy 1997 |
TOMY MONSTER COLLECTION
NEW VERSION They made new poses! These are built much sturdier than their older versions (no more tails falling off)! They were re-released (same pose) in 2011, with the new colored spinning bases. Value: $5+ each (opened) / $10+ each (sealed) © Tomy 2004 (Squirtle), 2008 (Wartortle), 2007 (Blastoise) |
BANPRESTO CHARACTER KEYCHAINS
Somewhat similar to Kids figures, but a bit larger and firmer. These are from a very old set which included 26 Pokémon. The Squirtle I have is actually not from that set - the correct one is supposed to be the same darker blue color. I am not sure what set Squirtle is from. Value: $15+ each. © Banpresto 1998 |
Squirtle Full Color Stadium (FCS)
Squirtle laying down and... pretending to be a Psyduck!? Actually, the first one is supposed to be using "Tail Whip" and the second one is using "Withdraw". Full Color Stadium figures were gashapon toys with a variety of different poses. Each Pokemon comes on a hexagonal base that can connect to others. For more info on FCS figure please see: abitof.jennystroom.nl Value: $3+ each © Bandai 1998-1999 |
TM Collection Blastoise
Blastoise came in the first set of the TM Collection figures, and this one looks like he might be using Tackle or Skull Bash? The TM (Technical Machine) Collection figures feature Pokemon using their moves in dynamic poses. Each one is a pencil topper and also comes with a small sticker with information on the TM. Value: $10+ © Bandai 2005 |
Wartortle Chibi Stamp
Also known as Pokémon Character Stamps! These are self-inking stamps with a solid-color, screw-on bottom cover (which also comes in pink and green). They mostly existed in the Gen 1 era, and were sold in gacha machines for 100Y each. A few Gen 2 Pokemon were made, but they are hard to come by. Value: $5+ © Kyodo |

Mini Figures
I'm not sure what the leftmost Squirtle is from, but the others are from American "Power Bouncers". Their JP releases are called Super Ball figures. They are figures that came inside clear bouncy balls. They are not intended to be removed from the rubbery balls, but people do it anyway. Value: $1 (removed from ball) / $10 (original condition, US) / $20 (original condition, JP). © Tomy 1999 (US), 1997 (JP) |
